Spotted a cracked fork during a simple headset job
Was working on a road bike with a wobbly front end, figured it was just the headset bearings. When I took it apart, the fork steerer tube had a crack near the crown race. Had to tell the customer the bad news. Have you seen this often on carbon forks? Kinda scary tbh.

Check every older carbon fork like Brooker saw, cracks hide under the crown race.

That "cracks hide under the crown race" bit from @jamieshah is so true. It's a scary spot because you just don't see it during a normal clean. Makes checking old carbon a real must-do.
