Showerthought: a creaky bottom bracket ate my Saturday because the noise was coming from the saddle rails
Last Saturday I pulled the crank, regreased the bearings, and swapped the BB entirely chasing a creak that only showed up under load, and it took me 4 hours before I thought to check the saddle. The rails were dry where they clamp, so a little grease on the post killed it in 2 minutes. What noise has fooled you into tearing apart the wrong part of the bike?
