Rebuilt my first wheel in 12 years, old habits die hard

Last week I dug out my 3-cross spoke pattern notes from 2011 and laced up a 36-hole rim for a guy's touring bike, but I kept reaching for the same Park truing stand I used back when I worked at the shop on 5th Street, and honestly, has anyone else noticed how much harder it is to find decent rim tape now than it was a decade ago?
