Rant: A customer's geometry complaint made me redo a whole frame build
Last month a guy came in for a custom commuter frame and after I finished he measured the wheelbase and said it felt twitchy at speed. I was defensive at first, told him it was within spec... but he asked if I ever checked standover with actual riding shoes on. Turns out I never accounted for platform pedal thickness, so the effective stack was way lower than my drawing said. Redid the fork rake and bottom bracket drop after that. Cost me 2 days and a bunch of tube stock. Has anyone else had a customer catch something that simple that you just overlooked for years?
