My take on carbon paste did a full 180 after a close call
For years, I avoided using carbon paste on seatposts, thinking it was just extra cost. But after a customer's post slipped during a ride and caused a crash, I started using it on all carbon builds. Now I see it as essential for safety. What's something you've changed your stance on in the shop?

That "close call" with the seatpost slipping really sticks with me! I used to think carbon paste was just for noise, not safety. Your story makes me wonder how you test for secure fit now. Do you do a pull test after assembly or just rely on the paste and torque wrench? Like, have you had any frames where paste didn't solve the issue and you found another cause? It's amazing how one bad experience can rewrite all your rules!

Overcomplicating things, just use common sense when tightening.
