I used to set up derailleur limits by feel, but a customer's $2000 bike changed my mind

After a Di2 bike came back twice with ghost shifts, I started using the actual hanger alignment gauge I'd ignored for years... now I check it on every tune-up. Anyone else find a tool they skipped that actually solves a ton of problems?

Wasn't that always step one?

Yeah, people act like the first step is some huge mountain to climb. It's just getting started, which is literally what you do every single day without thinking about it. Might be overthinking this whole thing a bit.

Exactly, @milam42. (The first step is always the hardest.)
