Had a customer scream at me over a flat tire repair last Saturday
Guy rolled in with a busted tube, I fixed it in under 10 minutes for $15, and he lost it because I didn't 'ask permission' before patching it. Has anyone else dealt with people losing their cool over a basic shop call?

Showed up to change a lady's oil once, it was a 2005 Honda Civic with 178k miles on it, I told her the filter looked like it hadn't been touched since the car was new. She screamed at me for 15 minutes because I didn't call her first before swapping it out. Like, I'm sorry I saved you from a seized engine, I guess? People get weirdly territorial about their cars even when you're clearly trying to help them out.

Oh man, I feel this in my bones. I had a guy once demand I wait on hold with his wife before unscrewing his oil cap. Like, he thought I was trying to scam him out of a gallon of Pennzoil. I just stood there holding the cap like an idiot for five solid minutes. People get real weird about cars being messed with, even when it's literally my job.
