Had a customer call me out on my wheel truing method last Tuesday
Guy watched me use a regular spoke wrench and said I was wasting time, showed me a Park Tool SW-7 and how to do it without taking the tire off. Cut my time from 15 minutes to about 6 on a busted MTB wheel. Anyone else swear by that tool or still go old school?

I mean, is it even really a proper bike shop visit if someone doesn't randomly roast your method in front of a customer? Honestly might frame the SW-7 and hang it on my wall as a reminder that I've been over here working twice as hard for no good reason. Can't argue with shaving off nine minutes on a busted MTB wheel though, that's basically a whole coffee break saved. But hey, I guess some of us just like the old school struggle of prying off a tire for no good reason.

Oh come on @burns.brooke, not everything has to be a wilderness survival test. Nine minutes is nine minutes, who cares if he can change a spoke blindfolded?
