Found out my torque wrench was off by 3 Nm after checking it at a shop in Denver

I was working on a carbon seatpost and something felt wrong, so I took my wrench to the co-op downtown. They put it on their calibrator and it was reading low, which explains why I've had a few creaks lately. Has anyone else had a tool drift that much without a drop or anything?

Three Newton meters can crack a carbon frame if you're not careful. That's the whole point of the torque spec. You ignore it and you're buying a new bike.
