Finally stopped using zip ties for cable management on builds
Used to just zip tie everything tight and call it done. Now I actually measure and cut housing to length so there's no extra loops. Anyone else find that proper housing length saves way more time than messing with zip ties later?

Have you ever had to replace a perfectly good cable because the housing got pinched or pulled loose from moving the computer around? Zip ties might look messy but they keep everything secure, and I'd rather spend two minutes cutting a few ties later than rebuilding a whole cable run. Plus when you sell or trade a machine, those neat custom lengths never fit the next case right. I'll take the extra bundles and zip ties any day, saves me headache down the road.

Do you ever find yourself still grabbing zip ties out of habit during a build? I feel like I still instinctively reach for them even when I have perfectly measured housing ready to go. Like my brain just defaults to the old method because it's muscle memory at this point. Tbh it takes a conscious effort for me to stop and do the proper length thing instead of just bundling everything tight with a zip tie.
