Am I the only one who still hand-wheels spokes instead of using a motor?

I just laced up a rear wheel for my old touring bike and went back and forth on whether to use my buddy's electric spoke driver or just do it by hand. I ended up hand-wheeling all 36 spokes because I felt like I had more control, but man did my wrist hurt after. Anyone else stick with the old method or is the motor just better for speed?

Hand wheeled mine last week too, worth the wrist pain for the control.

Oh man yeah totally. My buddy Jeff tried hand wheeling his own a couple months back and he texted me a picture of his wrist wrapped up in a brace the next day. He was complaining about it but then he sent me a video of the pour and I gotta say the control he had was impressive, like night and day compared to when he used a machine. He said the pain was worth it just to get that perfect edge but I think he's just stubborn, haha. Still the results he got were really clean so maybe there's something to it.

Yeah @briannguyen, I used to be team motor. Hand wheeling changed my mind though.
