Thought grids were just for art school kids, then a guy at the print shop in Boise proved me wrong
I always skipped grids on my practice posters because I thought eyeballing it was faster. Last week I overheard a guy at a print shop in Boise say "if your spacing is off by 2 pixels nobody sees it, but they feel it," and that line stuck with me. So I redid an old cafe flyer with a 4 column grid and the text lined up way better than my freehand version. Now I'm redoing every old draft in my folder with rulers on, which is slower but way less sloppy. Has anyone else switched to grids late and felt kinda dumb about it?
