That $400 smoker from a flea market in Austin was a total disaster
Bought a beat-up offset smoker from some guy on a Tuesday morning for $400, took it home, spent 6 hours scraping rust and sealing cracks with gasket tape, and the firebox still won't hold a steady temp over 225 - anyone else get burned buying used junk from a stranger?

Saw a video where a guy fixed one of those with fireplace cement, might help. @the_taylor got the right idea about that $400 lesson though.
