Two $5 bottles of clipper oil saved my Saturday rush after a 20 year old stunner

Last weekend I ran out of my usual oil mid haircut number 6 and grabbed two cheap bottles from the gas station around the corner in Tulsa. I figured they'd be garbage but the clippers ran smooth all day and no one complained about the smell either. Any other barbers swear by weird emergency supplies when your main stuff runs dry?

Tbh, gas station oil ain't exactly a flex, but whatever works I guess.

Ha, honestly I feel like that's just the way it goes for most people nowadays. Everyone's got that one thing they're picky about, whether it's coffee or car stuff, but nobody can really afford to be perfect all the time. It's kinda nice that we're all just doing what we can with what we got.
