Tried that scalp treatment everyone raves about, finally caved after 6 months

I kept seeing posts on here about using a specific pre-shampoo oil treatment for dry scalps. Thought it was just another gimmick. But after my third client this winter complained about flaking after a fade, I figured I'd give it a shot. Used it on myself for 2 weeks straight and my own itchiness disappeared. Now I keep a bottle at my station for anyone who mentions dry skin. Anyone else have a product they thought was hype but turned out to work?
