Tried a 000 blade on my clippers yesterday vs my usual 0000

Been cutting fades for about 3 years now and always used a 0000 for the bottom. Yesterday I swapped to a 000 on a client in Austin and the blend came out way smoother. Less jumping between guards, took about 10 minutes off my usual time. Anyone else found a different blade size works better for their technique?

The blade gap changes everything once you figure out the right one for your hand speed. 0000 works fine if you take your time, but a 000 lets you move faster without leaving tracks. Bet the humidity in Austin helped too, damp hair hits different with a wider gap.

Yeah my buddy Mike tried a 000 on his Merkur after using 0000 for years, same thing happened to him down in Houston last summer. He said he finally stopped getting those little nicks on his neck, but the first time he did it he went way too fast and looked like he lost a fight with a weed whacker.
