The neck line rule I see most new barbers ignore

I've been cutting in Charlotte for about 5 years now, and I keep seeing the same mistake. New guys leave the neck line too high or too low, then wonder why the fade looks off from the side. I tell them to check it at eye level before the client leaves. Last month I fixed 4 walk-ins who had neck lines done elsewhere that were crooked or uneven. Has anyone else had to redo that part more than any other?

Feel this one hard. I've been cutting about the same amount of time and the neck line is hands down the thing I end up fixing most on walk-ins. Had a guy last week come in with a line so high it looked like his fade started at his jaw, and he had no clue why it looked weird in the mirror at home. Eye level check is everything, I even step back and squat down sometimes to see it from the client's height. Crooked lines bug me more than anything, you can nail the blend and still lose the whole cut with a sloppy neckline. Solid reminder for the new guys.
