Spent $80 on a 'self-cleaning' clipper oil that just made a huge, sticky mess

Bought this fancy oil spray from a booth at the Barber Expo in Orlando. The guy swore it would keep my clippers clean and lubricated for weeks. Used it on my main Andis set yesterday. Instead of cleaning, it left this thick, gummy residue all over the blades and inside the housing. Took me over an hour to scrub it all off with rubbing alcohol. So much for saving time. Anyone know a good, simple oil that actually works without the gimmicks?

Didn't some barbers just use regular 3-in-1 oil?

@river183, but wouldn't that regular oil just gum up the clippers over time?

Hold up @riley58, I've used 3-in-1 on clippers for years without any gumming issues. Maybe the problem was just that "self-cleaning" oil was some thick overpriced goo in a fancy bottle.
