Rant: That one stubborn cowlick that just would not lay down

Everyone says to just cut it short or use more product, but this guy's hair fought me for a solid 45 minutes. I had to keep adjusting my shear work and the angle of my comb, way longer than the rest of the cut. What's your go-to move when a section of hair just refuses to cooperate?

Nah, you gotta fight that thing into submission with water and a stronger hold gel, lol.

Honestly, my go-to move is a quiet sigh and accepting temporary defeat. There's this one spot on my own head that makes me look like I got in a fight with a light socket. Sometimes you just have to work with it instead of against it, maybe soften the edges around it so it looks more like a feature than a bug. More product usually just makes it a crunchy, defiant spike. It's a humbling reminder that hair has its own mind.
