My old barber swore by hot lather, I thought it was a gimmick for 5 years
He kept telling me the heat opens the pores and softens the hair so the razor glides instead of drags, and I finally tried it on a tough neckline last Tuesday in Phoenix. That thing took a half hour off my usual cleanup time on coarse hair, anyone else ignore a tool for ages then realize the old timer was right?

Actually heat doesn't open pores, that's not how skin works.
