My clipper cord got yanked out mid-fade yesterday

I was working on a tight skin fade for a regular, and my foot caught the cord. It ripped the plug right out of the wall, leaving me with a half-done cut. I had to switch to my backup cordless pair, but the line wasn't as clean. Has anyone found a good way to secure cords to the floor or station to stop this?

Man that's the worst feeling, watching the plug fly out mid-stroke. I've taped my cord down with gaffer tape in a big loop before, the kind that doesn't leave residue. It's not perfect but it adds some tension so a yank doesn't go straight to the wall.

Ever try those velcro cable ties instead?
