Keeping fueled between clients with a slow cooker trick
I often missed meals when the shop was packed, and I felt drained. So, I started using a slow cooker at home. Early on, I add chicken and some vegetables. It cooks all day and is ready when I need a break. I can eat quickly without leaving the shop. This keeps my energy up for every haircut. Try it if you want to keep your focus during busy times.

Missing meals during busy shifts is the worst! I started doing something similar last year. My slow cooker has been a big help for long days. I put in some beef and veggies in the morning. Coming home to a hot meal ready to go saves time and keeps me going. It really makes a difference when you're on your feet all day.

Slow cookers are great but wade_lee is right, you can't eat it if you're stuck at work.

Actually, the real win here is eating at the shop like the first post says. Kevin's method is great for after work, but if you can't leave, having it ready right there is key. My old boss never took breaks until she started doing this. Just keeps you from crashing mid-afternoon.
