Just had a customer tell me I should charge more for fades

I was cutting this guy Marcus last Thursday and he asked why I only charge $25 for a fade. He said his old barber in Atlanta charged $45 and had way less detail work. It got me thinking if I'm undervaluing my work or if keeping prices low brings in more regulars. What do you all think, should barbers raise prices or keep them accessible?

$25 is super cheap, you're basically working for free.

Oh man, I actually just read this article about how a lot of freelance artists are charging way less than minimum wage when you break it down per hour. $25 seems reasonable on the surface but if a project takes ten hours that's only $2.50 an hour which is just sad. I saw someone breakdown their process and it took them like 40 hours for one piece, so they made like 62 cents an hour, unbelievable.
