I was holding my shears wrong for years until a client in a neck brace pointed it out.

My friend was a barber who cut hair with his thumb on the moving blade for a decade. A retired machinist finally asked him why his hand shook so much after every cut. He switched his grip and the constant cramping just stopped, which was wild.

So now I'm supposed to re-learn how to hold my scissors like a grown up? Great. I bet my next client is going to be a retired engineer who'll tell me I've been breathing wrong for 35 years. I can just see it now... "Ma'am, you're inhaling all wrong. You need to pull the air in at a 45 degree angle." Then I'll have a neck brace and a pair of shears and a whole new way to mess up my carpal tunnel.

That machinist story is like my buddy with his drill.
