Dropped my clippers on a marble floor in Chicago last Tuesday, now I check every hinge twice

I was doing a straight razor shave at a shop in Wicker Park and my Oster clippers slipped right off the counter. Landed on the marble floor by the sink and the blade clip bent sideways. Had to borrow a backup set from the guy next to me for the rest of the day. Has anyone else had a bad drop change how they set up their station?

Oh man that sucks! Did the marble itself get scratched too?

Oh for SURE not. That marble top is probably toast once you drop something heavy like a blow dryer on it. I've seen this happen before and little chips or cracks show up easily. The actual marble itself might be fine if you look close, but the polished finish will definitely have a mark.
