Bought a $150 trimmer because the cheap one kept snagging. Now the expensive one does the same thing.

Wasted 8 months fighting a $30 Wahl trimmer that would pull at coarse hair. Upgraded to a Babyliss Pro at full retail. First few cuts were smooth. Now 3 weeks in it's starting to tug just like the cheap one. Did I get a dud or do I just not know how to maintain these things? What oil do you guys actually use?

Oh man this is exactly what happened to me. Bought a fancy Wahl clipper that was supposed to be "professional grade" and it snagged on my neck hair after two months. Tried cleaning it with a tiny brush and rubbing alcohol but nothing helped. Finally switched to a smoother blade oil that I found recommended on a grooming subreddit. That fixed the tugging for a week but then it came back. Honestly starting to think these things just wear out fast no matter what you pay.

Right there with you, it's maddening when paying more doesn't even fix the damn problem.
