Almost bought a Wahl Senior, but grabbed the Magic Clip instead and my fades got cleaner
I was staring at two clippers on the shelf for like 20 minutes, the Wahl Senior and the Magic Clip. My old clipper died mid cut on a Saturday and I needed a new one that day. I went with the Magic Clip since it's lighter and my wrist was killing me. Used it on 6 heads that afternoon and the fade lines came out way smoother than my old one. Now I'm wondering if the Senior would've been better for bulk removal. Any of you run both and have a preference?
Man, that Saturday deadline pressure is real, nothing worse than a clipper dying mid cut. Quick question though, what guard sizes were you working with when you did those 6 heads? I ask because the Magic Clip is known for its staggered teeth that feed hair faster, which is great for blending but can be a pain if you're trying to do big bulk removal with a 1 or 2 guard on thick hair. Did you notice it bogging down at all on the first pass, or was it mostly clean cuts? That's usually where the Senior pulls ahead, more torque for knocking down the heavy stuff before you start fading.
