That bakery owner told me weighing ingredients is for amateurs

Heard a guy at a farmers market stall bragging he never measures anything and just goes by feel, but his cookies were flat as pancakes. I've been using a scale for 8 years and my batches come out perfect every time, anybody else think eyeballing is just lazy?

I read somewhere that even pro bakeries use scales for consistency.
