Spent $80 on a fancy cake decorating turntable that broke after two uses
I bought this nice metal turntable from a craft store website back in March. Figured it would be an upgrade from the plastic one I'd been using for years. First cake I used it on spun fine, but the second time the base started wobbling and then the whole thing seized up. Tried to return it but they said it was past the 30 day window. Anyone else had bad luck with those pricey turntables?

Wait, it seized up? Like completely stopped spinning? That's wild for something that cost $80. I would be pissed if mine gave out that fast.

I saw a post on another forum where someone said the bearings in that model are pretty cheap and tend to lock up if you don't oil them right away. Miles_jackson9, it might be worth checking if yours needs a drop of lube before it goes the same way.
