My grandma in Toledo said she mixes her pie dough with a fork right in the butter wrapper, and I've been doing it wrong for 9 years
She watched me make a mess of my counter with flour everywhere and just laughed and said "honey why are you dirtying a whole board for one crust," and now I can't stop wondering what else I'm overcomplicating in the kitchen - what's a shortcut someone dropped on you that you still use?
