I was sure my oven thermometer was broken, but it was my oven all along

My sourdough loaves kept burning on the bottom, and I blamed my new $12 thermometer for being wrong. Turns out, my oven runs a solid 25 degrees hotter than the set temp, which explains everything. Anyone else have to constantly adjust for a wonky oven?

Yeah, I ended up just getting a second thermometer to confirm it. Now I basically subtract 20 degrees from every recipe.
