Unpopular opinion: a gray button next to a gray link cost me 45 minutes on a DMV renewal page
The "continue" button looked disabled because it was the same shade as the background, so I kept hunting for a field I missed. Turns out the thing was live the whole time and the only hint was a slightly darker border I could barely see on my laptop screen in Columbus. Why do sites style clickable stuff to look dead, has anyone else just given up and started tabbing through pages to find the real buttons?
