I thought the warning about Libre Baskerville on menus was overblown till I ate at a place in Savannah
A buddy who runs a print shop told me a year ago that serif fonts on a dark menu make people squint and order less, and I figured he was just being dramatic. Then my wife and I ate at a cafe on Broughton Street and I watched 3 people at the next table pull out their phones to zoom in on the appetizers because the text was so thin and fancy. Is it just me, or does anyone else actually pick a spot different because reading the menu feels like work?
