Why does nobody talk about the 3-second hold on stuck zippers?

Tbh I spent 20 minutes fighting a jacket zipper last week before a friend at the bus stop literally pointed out I was pulling at an angle. She said hold the base flat and pull slow for a count of three. Worked on the first try, not even joking. Has anyone else found a dumb simple fix that made you feel like an idiot for not trying it sooner?

…and honestly that's the thing about most "stuck" stuff in life. It's rarely the zipper or the drawer or the lid that's broken, it's the angle you're coming at it from. I had a jar that wouldn't open for months, then my aunt said pop the seal with a spoon edge and I felt like a whole fool. Same with my headphones cord, it was always tangled until someone showed me the over-under wrap. It's like all these small problems have a secret trick that everyone assumes you already know, and nobody mentions it because they think it's obvious. But the real lesson is just to slow down and look at the thing fresh before you start yanking on it.
