The old road signs in my town got replaced with some new digital ones that are impossible to read during sunrise

I drive past the same intersection every morning and the old green signs were perfectly readable, but now these new digital signs have this weird glow that completely washes out around 7 AM. You basically have to guess which lane to be in until the sun gets higher. Has anyone else dealt with digital signs that just fail at basic visibility in certain light?

Oh wow I bet nobody's talking about the glare from car headlights hitting those digital screens at the wrong angle! I noticed with our new signs, if someone pulls up behind you with their brights on the whole thing turns into a blinding white wall. Makes the sunrise problem even worse when traffic stacks up. Wonder if they test these things with actual morning commuters or just install them and hope for the best.

Have you tried angling your mirrors down just a bit when you're stopped? It helped me cut the worst of that headlight flare on our local signs.
