The grocery store entrance that makes me walk in circles every single time

Went to the new Market Basket off Route 1 in Saugus last Tuesday and I swear the entrance is a trap. They have the shopping carts lined up right as you walk in, which sounds normal, but then the produce section is shoved to the left while the registers sit way off to the right with a big pillar blocking the view. So you grab a cart, take two steps, and suddenly you're facing a wall of flowers and a sign that says 'exit only' pointing back at you. I ended up backtracking three times just to find the deli counter, and I saw at least four other people doing the same confused shuffle. The worst part is the one-way arrows painted on the floor that lead you straight into a dead end by the dairy coolers. Who designed this, somebody who never actually shops for groceries? Has anyone else dealt with a store layout that just makes zero sense until you've been there like five times?
