The gas station bathroom door handle that only works if you're a contortionist

I was at a truck stop off I-95 in South Carolina, and the men's room door had a handle you had to pull up to open, but it was placed about six inches from the hinge side. You had to wedge your shoulder against the door frame and yank at a weird angle just to get in. What's the most baffling door you've ever had to fight with?

Honestly, it's just a door. People are acting like it's some kind of ancient puzzle. I get it's annoying, but you figure it out once and then you're in. Maybe the person who installed it just had a really bad day.
