That circular doorknob with no lock taught me to check the pull side
Rented a cabin outside Asheville last month and the bathroom door had a round knob that turned freely, no lock at all. I spent a full day assuming I was turning it wrong or there was a hidden push button. Turns out the design was just lazy, they put the lock on the outside so you could lock people IN, which makes zero sense. What finally convinced me was reading the tiny faded sticker near the hinge that said "push to unlock from inside" and realizing the knob was purely decorative. Has anyone else found a lock that's literally just for show on a rental door?
