That $45 'smart' lock made me the most insecure person on my own block
Bought one of those wifi deadbolts from the big box store in Austin. Spent 3 hours installing it, then another 2 trying to get the app to pair. Turns out the manual was for a different model and the QR code on the box scanned to a firmware page that no longer exists. Gave up and put my old key lock back. Customer support said to check their YouTube channel, but the video they linked was 4 years old and the guy in it was talking about a different product. Has anyone else had a 'smart' home gadget that made you feel dumber just trying to use it?
