That $40 'smart' coffee mug now sits in my junk drawer
Bought one of those app-controlled mugs that's supposed to keep your coffee at the perfect temp. After 3 days the battery died and it wouldn't charge unless I held the base at a weird 45 degree angle. Then the app updated and wiped all my temperature presets, which was the whole selling point. Lost $40 and about 2 hours of my life fiddling with it. Actually went back to a $12 thermos that keeps coffee hot for 6 hours with zero drama. Anyone else get burned by those novelty heated mugs?

Why do companies even bother with apps for a mug, you know? A thermos doesn't need a firmware update to keep stuff hot.
