My apartment building's new trash chute door is a workout
They replaced the old one with a heavy steel door that needs two hands and a hip check to open. I dropped a bag trying to juggle it yesterday. Anyone else have a simple task made hard by a bad redesign?

Read a piece last week about tenant unions in old factory buildings. They're forming committees to negotiate repairs and rent freezes directly with landlords. Seems like the goal is collective bargaining power instead of individual complaints.
