I finally gave up on the new park's water fountain after 15 minutes

The button is a flat, smooth panel with no markings. You have to press the exact middle of the bottom edge. Not the top, not the logo. I watched three people walk away confused. I timed it, took me a quarter of an hour to figure it out by pure accident. Who designs a public fountain you need instructions for?

Yeah, the flat panel ones are the worst. I've learned you basically have to treat the whole bottom half as the button. Just press the whole area under the logo with your palm, not a finger. It's like they want you to guess. Makes you miss the old metal push-handles.
