Found out the stair decals at my gym in Grand Rapids are basically flip cards
The main staircase at my gym has these big numbered stickers for each step and I kept almost face planting on the second flight. Turned out the numbers were printed the same color as the tread pattern, so from above you cannot tell a step edge from a stripe. I flipped the phone camera to negative mode and the contrast popped instantly, then mentioned the rip-off font choice to the front desk guy. He said three other people had griped about the same stairs since March. Anyone else ever use their phone camera to spot a bad design before their shins do?
