Found an old photo of my 1999 home office setup and wow

I was cleaning out a box in my garage last weekend and found a photo from 1999. It showed my first home office with this giant CRT monitor that weighed like 50 pounds and a printer with that stupid beige plastic that yellowed over time. The cable management was just a tangled mess of cords going everywhere behind the desk. It made me laugh because I used to think that setup looked professional back then. Has anyone else dug up an old photo of a workspace that looked ridiculous by today's standards?

Remember lugging that CRT monitor up a flight of stairs and almost throwing my back out just to set it up. The yellowed beige plastic was such a look, everyone had it so nobody thought twice about how ugly it was. My cable management was just a rats nest behind the desk too, I had extension cords and phone lines all tangled together back there. Looking at old photos makes me laugh because I thought my setup was cutting edge with its giant tower and zip drive. Now my whole office fits inside a tablet and I still complain about the cord situation.

My dad still has one of those old beige towers in his basement "just in case" he needs to run some ancient accounting software. The thing probably draws more power than a mini fridge and weighs about the same. Why do we hold onto stuff like that?
