Appreciation post: That week where my trowel's edge was just perfect
Last month I had five days in a row where my mudding felt like a dream. Every joint came out smooth, no bubbles, no ridges. I wasn't even trying hard, just had this old trowel that finally broke in right. Has anyone else had a spell where your tool just clicks and suddenly the work is way better?

noraj79 says "the sweet spot right there" like it's this big mystical thing. I don't know, man. I've had tools that felt good for a day or two and then the next job they were back to being frustrating. It's probably more about how you're holding your wrist or what compound you mixed that day. Plus, a trowel edge changes with every sharpening or knock against a bucket, so calling it a "spell" seems a little dramatic. Take this with a grain of salt, but my money is on you just having a good day and the tool being a small part of it.
