The stairs at my local library have a sign that makes people trip
I was at the Westside branch last Saturday and watched 4 people trip on the bottom step in about 20 minutes. There's a yellow "Watch Your Step" sign bolted right above the step, so your eyes go up to read it and your feet miss the edge. The sign is doing the opposite of its job. I sat there with a book for maybe an hour and counted 11 near falls total. The step itself is only about half an inch taller than the others, which is the real problem nobody fixed. Has anyone seen a warning sign that causes the exact thing it's warning about?
