The coffee shop menu I designed with 9pt gray text
Last month a local cafe in Portland asked me to update their menu board. I thought smaller font would look sleek and premium. Turns out the owner's mom couldn't read it from the counter, and she told me straight up it was a waste of her morning. We reprinted on matte black with white 18pt text and sales went up 12% that week. Anyone else ever prioritize looks over legibility and regret it instantly?
