Used to work off a folding table in my studio, now I don't know how I ever did it
For the first year in my backyard shed studio, I recorded everything on a folding card table with a laptop and one cheap mic. Then two winters back, that table finally gave out when the legs bent, and I spent a Saturday building a real desk from two by fours for about $60. Now I have rack space, a proper monitor arm, and cables that don't turn into a rat's nest every time I move something. Has anyone else rebuilt their setup after putting it off for way too long, and what did you change first?
