The week my studio build turned into a mud wrestling pit
We had that crazy rain in Atlanta last week, and the 12x16 slab I poured for my studio foundation basically became a lake. My buddy Dave came over to help frame and we spent three hours just trying to keep the lumber from floating away. It set the whole project back by at least a week and now I'm staring at a giant mud hole where my quiet space should be. Anyone else have their build timeline completely wrecked by weather?

Man, that's brutal. I didn't even think about the moisture messing with your lumber later on. All that wet wood is gonna shrink and warp like crazy once it finally dries out, probably right after you get the walls up. You might end up with doors that won't close and drywall cracks in a few months. Total nightmare fuel, honestly.

Forget the wood for a second. That trapped moisture is going to breed mold inside the walls before it ever dries out. You'll seal it all up with drywall and insulation, creating a perfect dark, damp spot for it to grow. The real cost isn't just warped doors, it's the health hazard and tearing everything back out to remediate it.
