The 6 inch rainstorm in Atlanta last Tuesday wrecked my studio floor

Water got under the door sill and swelled the bamboo planks in the corner. I had to pull up about 20 square feet of flooring to let everything dry out. Has anyone else in a wet climate found a really good door seal for a slab foundation?

Ugh, that water under the door sill is the worst. I used a heavy duty vinyl sweep seal on my slab door and it finally stopped the leaks.

Can you believe how much damage a little water can do? I had the same thing happen with my laminate floor after a heavy rain, and a good threshold seal made all the difference. It's such a relief when you finally find the fix.

Those seals can trap moisture and cause rot, so maybe letting it breathe is better.
